Holidaying in a large party? With space for up to 18 humans and three dogs, this gorgeous complex of three properties 1 mile from Torquay is ideal for extended family trips, or groups of friends and all their children. You’ll all share a large covered courtyard with plenty of seating and an eight-person hot tub, a space that’s ideal for socialising with fellow guests. Torquay has plenty of family-friendly attractions, a bustling harbour and dog-friendly cafes and beaches you can explore.
The main – and largest – property is Rutland Lodge, with five bedrooms and a spacious, fully equipped kitchen complete with a barista-style coffee machine. In the ornate dining room, located in a conservatory under the sprawling branches of fruit trees, enjoy extended group meals before retiring to the luxurious lounge, where leather sofas await plus a wood burner which sleepy dogs will make a beeline for. Rutland Lodge also has a games room and a video games room which youngsters (and young-minded adults) will love spending time in. The smaller Babbacombe and Wellswood mews houses each accommodate four guests, and have patio doors leading to the shared courtyard. The kitchens are light, airy and well-equipped. In this attractive accommodation, guests can relax in their own space or gather together in the shared outdoor area which is complete with a BBQ and wood-fired pizza oven for those al fresco feasts.
You’ll be in a convenient location with shops and pubs within half a mile and the beach 1 mile away in Torquay. Walkers (and dogs!) will appreciate being able to join the South West Coast path 0.5 miles away). Further afield, the beautiful English Riviera is also nearby, including the Victorian resort of Paignton (4 miles) and Brixham (10 miles), with its historic fishing harbour and nature reserve where dogs can let off steam.
