This three-bed property ticks all your holiday boxes and more, but most importantly, you can take up to two furry friends with you to make your break complete. This Grade II-listed terraced cottage in a quiet part of Boscastle gives you a sense of Cornish history, married seamlessly with contemporary comfort, design and practicality. It’s ideal for a young family or group of active friends to explore this wonderful part of Cornwall, but has steep stairs and is over three storeys so bear that in mind for the very young or very old (human or canine!).

Entering on the ground floor, you’ll come to the open-plan lounge which is bright and airy, comprising two distinct areas – both are comfortable but one has the TV and woodburner, while the other is potentially a quieter space. Wood flooring is a practical choice with dogs in tow and they’ll love to lie by the fire! Downstairs, the spacious kitchen/diner has modern fitted units and everything you’ll need to self-cater, including a table. Sleeping quarters are up on the first floor, offering two king-size bedrooms and one with bunk beds, plus the family bathroom is up here too. They provide calming spaces, beautifully decorated, to rest your head after a hard day’s holidaying. There’s an enclosed rear patio for a little bit of outdoor space too.

Mooch with your pooch around Boscastle and admire the sea views. There’s plenty going on here and your nearest pub is just 100 metres away if you fancy a night off cooking. Take the lead on the South West Coastal Footpath or check out some of North Cornwall’s must-sees like Arthurian legend at Tintagel (3.5 miles) or picturesque Port Isaac (12.5 Miles).

Fantastic house for 6 people. Lots of stairs to manoeuvre but as long as you know that in advance, all is well. Very comfortable beds and sofas. House is at the very top of the town. Fine to walk back up if you are ok with walking. Not for those who struggle with walking up steep hills or with mobility problems. Really lovely stay and a great Read morefind! Hide

We enjoyed our stay in Boscastle which we have visited many times before though not in recent years. Hartland Cottage is a lovely cosy period cottage, quite quirky with the layout being over three floors. The parking space directly outside the cottage was a big plus, as parking is otherwise very limited in this part of Boscastle due to the very narRead morerow lanes. There were a few minor issues which were fed back to the owner which would have made it 5 stars instead of 4. Hide

Lovely base for exploring Boscastle/Tintagel. Some lovely coastal walks, pubs and restaurants. Boscastle Farm shop definitely worth a visit and Riverside for meals. Trebarwith Strand good dog friendly beach
