Spend long days on the beach with your four-legged friend then return to the comfort of this pup-friendly holiday home in Dorset’s West Bay. Set on a former shipyard, the one-bedroom apartment sleeps four guests, making it ideal for a dog-loving family’s getaway. With a private patio where you can all enjoy the sea air, the modern holiday home also has access to a shared lawn where you can throw a ball for your happy hound on warm evenings.

Step into the inviting retreat to find yourselves in a contemporary lounge/kitchen/diner, with all the creature comforts your party might require. Prepare tasty meals and snacks in the kitchen area, with its breakfast bar, and feed your canine friend here too. Dine at the table, find a film on TV or play games while your contented canine dozes quietly on the rug. The sofa in this room can be made up as an extra double bed by prior arrangement. The main bedroom,  has a double bed and comes with an en-suite bathroom. Treat yourselves to a glass of wine on the patio on summer nights, with your happy hound keeping you company. Guests will be given a permit to park, but spaces are subject to availability. There is also a pay car park nearby.

Grab your beach bag and head to nearby beaches that welcome waggy-tailed visitors all year round. Try Freshwater Beach, 2.5 miles away, or Eype Beach, 1 mile away. Venture 9.5 miles inland to the hillfort of Coney''s Castle. Another hillfort, Lambert’s Castle, is just 1 mile away and also on National Trust land. Take your pal on long walks along the South West Coast Path. Keen hikers might like to attempt all, or part of, the 9-mile stretch to Lyme Regis.

Apartment had not been cleaned properly and crockery and cutlery we're dirty. Problems reported together with issues of bedroom storage.eg cupboard and rail only accessible by standing on bed. No satisfactory solution offered other than to go home for partial refund.

Cottage in a great location close to beach and harbour , shops, loads of places to eat nearby. . Lovely cottage with all modern accessories including free WiFi..

The property was as described and in a great place. Quiet but near to the beach and all amenities. The information provided was excellent and we will definitely look to book again through Original Cottages

We are of a certain age and the double bed which you had to enter from one side (the other side against the wall) we would normally not contemplate. We were pleased with everything else apart from the pesky fridge which although switched to a low setting never stopped making a loud noise.
