Property code: OC-GD1901

Enjoy direct access to Beadnell Bay from the garden of this detached bungalow and annexe. Sleeping nine people across five bedrooms and welcoming two faithful friends, it’s ideal for large families and groups of friends who want to explore the Northumberland coast with their pups by their side. You’ll love having plenty of space for everyone to socialise in (the main bungalow offers accommodation for five guests, and a separate annexe can host a further four guests), and your pups will adore going for long walks on the beautiful beach.

Step inside the bungalow and you’ll find a spacious double-aspect lounge/diner. Make yourself at home before heading to the stylish kitchen to cook up a storm for your loved ones. Get the gang together to eat at the dining table in the lounge/diner, or head outside and dine alfresco in the garden. The garden is enclosed, so your pups can run free while you eat. After dinner, settle in for movie night in the lounge as your pups snooze in front of the wood burner. When it’s time for bed you have three lovely bedrooms to choose from. Over at the annexe, you’ll find an open-plan lounge/kitchenette with double-aspect windows. The cosy seating area is the perfect pace to relax at the end of the day and there are two stylish bedrooms to choose from.

This property boasts direct gated access to Beadnell Bay from the garden – so walkies are always a pleasure. Dogs are welcome all year round, although they must be kept on lead during bird-breeding season. Alternatively, take your pups for an adventure on the dog-friendly Aln Valley Railway (14.5 miles) to Alnwick. Alnwick Castle features in the Harry Potter films, and the town’s railway station is a big hit with Harry fans.

Drain outside below kitchen was blocked when we arrived..my hisband cleaned it out. Then it was ok but it left a film of fat outside on path.I only use Olive oil so would recommend it instead of fat based oils.

Position brilliant with great acces to the beach, fabulous garden and outside seating, great for children and dogs. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Beds were freshly laundered, however no cleaning under or behind furniture. Grubby. Kitchen, inadequate supply of crockery, glassware and baking trays. Very small dishwasher for 9 people. SmalRead morel kitchen. In the annex the bedrooms are very small with very limited amount of storage. Very poor welcome information which resulted in poor WiFi amongst other things. Although mentioned in other reviews we did not receive a welcome gift. Hide

Great location with a lovely large garden with plenty of seating areas ideal for kids/grandkids. A short walk over the dunes and you're on the beach. Some areas were a little tired, but the kitchen and bathroom looked like they had recently been refurbished, and the bedrooms were good too with comfy beds and clean white linen. On the whole, it was Read morewell equipped but would have benefitted from a BBQ area in the large garden. The outdoor tap with washing area was really useful. Hide

We had a fabulous week at Sandy Dell as an extended family group (five adults, one teenager, three children between 4-10 and one large dog), and couldn't fault the property or the stunning location - the closest to the beach we have ever stayed, perfect for morning dog walks, daytime sandcastle building with the kids and even an evening dip on the Read morehottest day of our trip. The bungalow was cosy and comfortable with plenty of parking, and had everything we needed for a relaxing family holiday, the little 'sink' outside the back door for washing sandy feet and beach kit was a very useful touch and the children loved the garden and the window seat. Beadnell was far enough off the beaten track to be quiet and restful, but still had good places to eat out, and it was easy to get to Alnwick and Seahouses for the big shop and further afield for days out. Finding a big enough property for our group which was also dog-friendly was a challenge, we got very lucky with Sandy Dell and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others. Hide
