With easy access to Whitby’s beach, restaurants, shops and other attractions, this centrally located penthouse apartment is a great base for families, friends and a small or medium canine companion (don’t worry, Great Danes, we have plenty of other cottages for you). Light, bright and airy in feel, it has lovely views of Whitby’s atmospheric ruined abbey from its balcony.

This smart, modern apartment is stylishly coordinated in muted, calming tones. The lounge/diner is bright and airy, thanks to full-length glazed doors that lead out to a small balcony. Dine at the extending table, perhaps discussing your next day’s excursions, before relaxing on the curved leather sofa – Fido at your feet – and catching up with your favourite programmes on the Smart TV. In the kitchen, you’ll find all the equipment you’ll need to prepare tasty holiday dinners, plus a breakfast table with two high stools. On this floor, there’s also a twin bedroom and a separate WC. On the top floor, and with some charming sloping ceilings, you’ll find a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, a second twin bedroom and a family bathroom.

Overlooking Whitby’s marina and harbour, this lovely holiday property has easy access to Whitby’s many attractions, shops and dog-friendly places to eat and drink. Don’t miss a wander around the famous ruined abbey, the alleged inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Dracula, and your pup will love to stretch their legs on the sandy beaches or with an exciting climb up the 199 steps to St Mary’s Church. Or how about a spine-tingling ghost walk around town, starting in the graveyard and learning lots of ghost stories and supernatural tales along the way?

Great location, parking very tight if you have a big car.. cleanliness there were dog treats all around the apartment on the floor and kitchen items were not the cleanest beds very hard not the most comfortable to sleep on ran a bath which took all the hot water preventing others from showering one evening.. smoke alarm beeped one evening removed iRead moret and messaged host not even a thank you or a sorry.. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk - Thank you for your feedback we have spoken to the owners and the water issue was resolved quickly during your stay, the smoke detectors have been thoroughly checked and no issue has been found. This is an excellent apartment that is fully equipped for all you needs. It's ideally located close to the town centre and in easy access to Whitby and the surrounding area. If you enjoy walking in the county or just relaxing in Whitby then this is an excellent base for all your needs.

We stayed for three nights in this very comfortable, spacious and well-equipped srcond-floor flat on two floors, just minutes walk away from the Swing Bridge and close to the railway and bus stations. There's a great view across to the church and ruined abbey from the lounge and master bedroom. All of the fixtures and fittings are of good quality aRead morend the furniture is comfortable and sufficient for 6 people. With three loos and two bathrooms there were no queues for the five who were staying and everywhere in the flat was clean and in good order. The kitchen is well laid-out and very well-equipped, with induction hob, oven and microwave in addition to dishwasher & large fridge/freezer. Include smart TV and TV in each room, Sky for the poor signal and a good strong wifi signal across the flat and you'll find you'll not be wanting for much. Finally, the secure underground car park is an absolute boon, as anyone who has tried to park in Whitby would appreciate. We visit Whitby at the same time every year to work & perform at a local music festival, this is the first time we've all agreed - this is the venue for our accommodation in 2025. Hide

Harbour Lights apartment is an excellent facility with all the amenities needed for a great holiday in Whitby. It's ideally located close to the middle of town. Close to both the bus and train stations and within easy walking distance to the town centre. The apartment also offers secure underground parking.
