This romantic bolthole is set in the peaceful Norfolk village of Docking. The village has a traditional pub, which welcomes four-pawed visitors, and a weekly market where you can pick up tasty local produce. You’ll be just 5 miles from the coast, where you’ll find gorgeous, sandy beaches and can also join the Norfolk Coast Path. In the evenings, return to your cosy hideaway to snuggle beside the open fire.
This quirky property is full of original features and boasts high ceilings, exposed stonework, and stunning stained-glass windows. The cottage has an open-plan lounge/diner, with comfortable sofas and a rug in front of the open fire for the hounds to stretch out on. There are wooden floors throughout the living area, making it easy to deal with the odd muddy pawprint here and there. The vibrant kitchen has everything you need to rustle up a delicious meal for two, to enjoy together at the table in the lounge/diner. The bathroom completes the ground floor. Upstairs, a beautiful bedroom awaits, with an inviting double bed and a gorgeous stained-glass window. Outside is a small gated grass area where the pups can stretch their legs.
The property is perfectly located for exploring some of Norfolk’s finest woof-welcoming beaches. At Brancaster (5 miles) you and your four-pawed pals will find miles of golden sand to explore, meaning you can escape the crowds, whatever the season. Old Hunstanton (7.5 miles) is also a favourite amongst canine visitors and, being one of Norfolk’s only west-facing beaches, it’s a lovely spot for a sunset stroll. Sandringham Estate (8 miles) also makes a great doggy day out, with over 600 acres to sniff and investigate in the Royal Park.
