The bay is also a great spot for bird watching, swimming, and water sports. Explore the restaurants, cafes, and pubs in Beadnell or follow the coast path to Low Newton (4 miles away), home to a cosy, canine-friendly pub. Visit famous Bamburgh Castle (5 miles) and be sure to treat yourselves to some kippers from Craster (9 miles) and wander to the ruins of impressive Dunstanburgh Castle (1.5 miles from Craster). Fans of Harry Potter will want to visit Alnwick Castle, it was Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in two of the films (13 miles).
