Escape to the coast with friends or family and don’t forget to bring your best furry buddy. This three-bedroom cottage is quaint, positioned on a narrow historic lane in the pretty fishing village of Appledore. Dating from the early Victorian era, it’s surprisingly spacious and marries charming original features and touches with thoughtful attention to detail and all the comforts of a modern property – just right for a really comfortable and easy holiday. Explore this vibrant village or leave no ball unfetched along the South West Coast Path which runs within 75 metres of this house.

The light and airy ground-floor living accommodation has a useful hall area in one ‘corner’, then a lovely lounge with ample sofa seating plus a long landscape window between that and the open-plan kitchen/diner, letting the light in but still keeping it relatively divided. The dining area has a table seating six and the generous modern fitted kitchen has all you’ll need for self-catering endeavours. French doors lead outside to the enclosed courtyard from the dining area, letting your canine pal come and go with ease. When it’s time for bed, the choice is between two king-size bedrooms and one twin bedroom. They all have individual touches but offer similar neutral decor with an unfussy vibe for a good night’s sleep. The courtyard outdoors is furnished and pretty private, plus there’s storage and another outdoor WC here – useful if there’s a queue!

You’re right in the historic heart of characterful Appledore in this property, with the quay within 150 metres. So too are the town’s cobbled alleyways, now home to independent shops, galleries, eateries and, of course, places selling cream teas. Lead the way to adventure with a trip on the foot ferry from Appledore to Instow and, yes, dogs can go too!

Fabulous cottage, perfect, flat location for all of Appledore. Really clean and nicely decorated, the settees are great. The beds are all really comfortable and the shower is amazing. Lots of space for 6 to spread out. Cosy living room with fabulous log burner and lovely Christmas tree. Carpark is not far at all and you can pay for a week. Lovely property, great central location. Having lobby area for taking boots/wet coats off really helpful. Log burner was fab. Kitchen well equipped and having board games to play in the cottage provided was an added bonus.

The cottage is situated right in the heart of Appledore which makes you feel a real part of the village centre , the kitchen was really well equipped with lots of Tupperware for beach picnics , the remainder rooms are all large creating lots of space for our kids and dog to chill :)
