For a group holiday to remember, stay at this spectacular cottage overlooking the hills of the north Snowdonia/Eryri National Park. Spend your days rambling through some of Wales’ most impressive scenery with your pets, followed by cosy evenings in enjoying group meals prepared in the handmade oak kitchen. A maximum of 12 guests can stay at this stylish holiday home, with two dogs welcome, too – it’s great for a large group of friends or a huge family gathering, perhaps celebrating a birthday or other special occasion.
This detached property has a gorgeous stone exterior and an equally impressive interior, featuring its original ceiling beams, a smooth wooden floor and plenty of windows. You can kick back on the sofas and watch some TV in the large open-plan living area. A wood burner is on hand for if it’s chilly out; the dogs will love warming their backs against it after a busy day tearing along hillside trails. There’s a separate room that can either be used as a snug or an extra bedroom. Two sets of French doors from the main area lead out to the pretty slate patio and garden, where you’ll find plenty of seating for perching with some Welsh cakes and coffee while the dogs run around on the lawn. Upstairs, the master bedroom features a wooden balcony, creating another fresh-air spot, with fantastic views.
You’ll find wonderful walkies from your front door, plus shops and a dog-friendly pub 2 miles away in Carneddi. At Penrhyn Castle you can take your dogs into the garden and grounds which’ll have plenty of exciting new smells for them to sniff out. Take your pet 2.5 miles south to Llyn Ogwen for watery walks around this captivating lake, with views of the Glyderau mountains to look forward to during your ramble (and for the dogs, plenty of exciting new smells to sniff out!).
