Quaint on the outside and stylish on the inside, this original stone cottage in St Ives is the ideal hideaway for a couple and their favourite four-legged third wheel seeking some peace and time together on the Cornish coast. Located in the atmospheric Downalong area, there are plenty of romantic beaches to stroll along within easy reach, including Bamaluz Beach (200 metres) and Lambeth Walk Beach, where paw prints on the sand are always welcome without restrictions.

Step into this pretty, contemporary ground floor apartment, which is light and bright with décor reflecting a coastal theme. Leave your cares behind as you are assured of a warm welcome and a comfortable stay. Enter the apartment and there is a large living/dining room with a feature fireplace, Smart TV and a plush sofa - the perfect place to relax with your hound or watch him rest at your feet. In the small, fashionable kitchen there is everything you need to prepare a romantic or celebratory meal, as well as a dining area by the window to eat together. When it''s time to go to bed, there is a double bedroom with a skylight and contemporary en-suite shower room with WC. There''s no outdoor space, but the location of the cottage means that you can walk to the harbour or take a pleasant morning walk to Trewyn Subtropical Gardens (0.5 miles), a quiet sanctuary from the bustling town.

For a lovely woodland walk where your pup can go mutts and you can spot squirrels, head to Tehidy Woods (15 miles) and take the circular walk, which includes a stroll along the coastal path. Trengwainton Garden (10 miles) is a beautiful garden with award-winning magnolias and rhododendrons. Your pup can guide you along the winding woodland paths that lead to views across Mount''s Bay. Or head to iconic Lands End (19 miles) and enjoy the beautiful and dramatic costal scenery. There is a circular walk via Sennen to stretch your legs, and if you are there in spring, the bluebells are a sight to behold.

This was an ideal location for us, close to the beaches, seafront, shops and restaurants. The property was comfortable, clean and well equipped.....We would definitely stay there again.

We had a great time at Porthia in St Ives. The cottage was perfect for us, so close to everything! Beaches, restaurants and galleries! Also nice and quiet for sleeping, Great to cook and eat in some nights too. Thanks very much.

I had a lovely week in Porthia flat, the location is fantastic, just a few minutes from the beaches and shops. Its very cute and well-presented. Kitchen space is fairly limited, so probably not the best option if you plan on doing lots of cooking.
