Set in the heart of the magical market town of Hawes in the Yorkshire Dales, this stone-clad terrace provides a cosy and welcoming base for exploring the region. Accommodating up to six guests and one beloved pup, this three-bedroom holiday home has all the amenities of Hawes at your fingertips, including the famous Wensleydale Creamery, and it’s surrounded by delightful walks sure to enthral your entire pack.

Arranged over three storeys, this is a light and spacious property that’s decorated to a high standard throughout. Step off the main street and into the comfortable lounge, where you can relax on stylish sofas to watch TV or read a book, your pup snoozing in front of the wood burner. The downstairs is open-plan so you can prepare home-cooked meals under the watchful eye of your canine companion, and then gather to eat at the family dining table. Three double bedrooms divided between the first and second floors ensure a rejuvenating night’s sleep, ready for fresh adventures in the morning.

While this property has no outside space, step outside and you’re in the centre of Hawes, with quaint tearooms, artisan shops, and a selection of pubs and restaurants, many of which welcome man’s best friend. You can wander along the river, which runs through town and grab lunch or a snack in the garden cafe of the creamery, though you’ll have to take it in turns if you want to go in the visitor centre. This region is a haven for walkers with abundant gorgeous trails, including a 7-mile round trip passing the magnificent waterfalls at Aysgill Force and Hardraw Force.

The cottage was absolutely delightful and well placed for a stay in North Yorkshire. We did think it was a bit expensive but otherwise happy.
