Set in the idyllic village of Hinderwell, this stunning thatched cottage offers fabulous accommodation for couples and smaller families exploring a tranquil corner of the North Yorkshire Coast and the North York Moors. With space for up to four guests and a furry four-legged companion, the stone-built period property has been elegantly furnished, stylishly decorated and sympathetically updated while retaining plenty of its original character. Just half a mile from the sea, this delightful hideaway makes a fabulous base for walkers, beach lovers and nature spotters keen to experience the area’s magical countryside and secluded beaches.
The porch has a stable door leading into the welcoming entrance hall and then into a charming dining room with a feature fireplace, handsome dining table and comfortable armchairs. This leads through to a lovely lounge with a Smart TV, and on to the beautiful, galley-style kitchen with a useful breakfast bar. The ground floor also offers a handy shower room. Upstairs, there are two elegant bedrooms – an inviting king-size room and a characterful twin. A few steps lead to a half-landing with moorland views, then along to a gorgeous bathroom with a large bath accessed by granite semi-circular steps, plus an invigorating walk-in shower and access to a balcony overlooking the rear patio. Outside, the front garden is noted for its large palm trees, while the enclosed back patio makes an ideal space for dining alfresco with your pet by your side. Remote-controlled garage parking is available for one medium car.
The cottage lies along the northern reaches of the North York Moors, offering miles of breathtaking walks to enjoy with your pet. Dogs are welcome along most of the local beaches including Port Mulgrave, Runswick Bay and Kettleness, all within 6 miles. The popular resort of Whitby is to the south (9 miles).
