Explore Weymouth and this scenic corner of Dorset with your faithful friend by your side when you stay at this appealing retreat in the bustling town. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom townhouse offers modern accommodation across three stories and a courtyard garden where pups and people can unwind together after their trips out. It is also well positioned for reaching dog-friendly beaches.
Return from your adventures to rinse sandy paws under the outside tap and enter the house at ground-floor level. Head through to the kitchen/diner to top up your pal’s water bowl and put the kettle on for everyone else to have a cup of tea. Let your chum rest his weary paws in the understairs dog bed while you prepare dinner and set the table, with the TV on if you wish. Also at this level is a WC. Climb the stairs to the first floor to find another TV in the lounge or to gaze out at the boats in the marina. You can also play the Xbox here. The sofa here can be transformed into an extra bed by prior arrangement. There is also a family bathroom on this floor too. Another WC is on the second floor, together with a twin room and a double bedroom that looks out towards the marina. Sit out in the courtyard garden long into the evening during the summer, with your happy hound keeping you company. Parking for this cottage is on the street, subject to availability.
Take your four-legged friend 0.5 miles to the dog exercise area at the Pavilion end of Weymouth Beach when he needs to let off steam. Bowleaze Cove, 3.5 miles from your base, is also dog friendly. Visit the impressive Nothe Fort, less than 1 mile away, where canine companions are very welcome.
