Located on a working farm in Snowdonia/Eryri National Park, this charming holiday retreat is a true nature lover’s paradise and an excellent spot for staying with adventure-hungry dogs. You’ll have shops, restaurants and dog-friendly pubs just 2 miles away in Llanberis, and countless excellent trails through outstanding rural terrain, right from your front door. And when your legs are weary from all that exploration, the hot tub provides welcome relief and a great spot for relaxing before a restorative night’s sleep. With room for up to six guests and two canine chums, this cosy cottage is ideal for a family group or trip among friends.
Raw stone on the outside and inside gives this bungalow an attractive and rustic look, and when you’ve got the open fire going it’ll be hard to feel any cosier. As the flames crackle away, you can watch a film on the Smart TV in the inviting lounge, which has plush sofas and a soft rug the dogs to snooze on. The light-filled kitchen/diner has everything you need for meal prep plus a large table and chairs for holiday meals washed down with a glass of wine. With its delightful views, the garden is a great place to soak up some greenery from the patio. Your pets can run around on the grass while you cook up a storm on the BBQ provided – remember to put on a couple of extra sausages for the dogs!
There’s ample opportunity for pet-pleasing walks in the surrounding area, starting perhaps with a circular walk around Llyn Peris Lake (0.5 miles) or a gentle stroll to the pretty Ceunant Mawr Waterfall (2.5 miles). For a longer day out, sniff out the majestic Snowdon/ Yr Wyddfa peak via one of the six routes up the side of the mountain, the most popular being the Llanberis Path (3.5 miles).
