Occupying a fantastic location close to the heart of Swanage, this stylish ground-floor apartment makes a wonderful holiday home for couples and smaller families. Offering airy accommodation for up to four guests, this beautifully updated retreat has ample space for a pair of four-pawed friends to come along and help you explore the beautiful beaches and spectacular countryside of the Isle of Purbeck. Less than half a mile from the beach, the property features stylish decor, elegant furnishings, a cheerful balcony and a beautiful free-standing bath.

The apartment offers a delightful open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with plenty of light streaming in via the double doors. The airy lounge features a Smart TV and plenty of seating, and you can get together to enjoy a family meal over in the relaxing dining area. The stylishly designed kitchen has plenty of equipment, a sleek breakfast bar and atmospheric overhead lighting. Across the hallway, you will find a family bathroom with an elegant free-standing bath, and a spacious twin bedroom decorated with poster art. The other bedroom is a cosy king-size room with double patio doors opening onto a veranda offering glimpses of the sea. This room also has the benefit of an invigorating en-suite shower room. From the lounge, double doors open onto a small, welcoming balcony with outdoor furniture, where you can sit out and watch the world go by on a lazy afternoon with your pets.

Swanage is a perfect destination for dogs and their owners, with a lovely stretch of pet-friendly beach by the pier and a wealth of dog-welcoming places to eat and drink. You can also help your dogs explore The Downs and Durlston Country Park, or take a steam train trip to Corfe Castle (5 miles) to visit the popular Model Village and Gardens.

Extremely comfortable, well thought-out apartment. The weather for our Christmas week was pretty windy but we were nice and snug inside. It's an easy 10 minute walk down to the front but, as has been commentated elsewhere, the return up the steep hill is a bit of a challenge

Lovely relaxing stay - good location, comfortable well equipped flat with smart TV and under cover parking. Close to town centre and for walks along the coast. Would recommend.

The apartment was very well equipped and the beds were comfy. Well situated too as wedid not move our car all week but used buses instead (we were walking the SWCoast Path and also visiting local friends). Loved the glimpse of sea between 2 houses especislly once we had walked that part of the coast! Well positioned for meals out but we ate in too.Read more Only thing I would say is there is quite an uphill walk from the town so pretty tough going! Quiet residential area. Hide

Amazing property. Very comfortable with a lovely view of Swanage. Enjoyed coffee on the balcony in the morning looking at the sea. We loved the Lookout Number 2. Thanks for having us. We will be back.

A lovely clean and light apartment. The owners were very helpful with queries. Comfortable lounge with a really large and useful television .... might not sound impressive but it is important to us. Super entrance hall with great shoe storage. Comfortable beds, nice fluffy towels. It is a steep walk from town but we knew that.

We had a great stay as a family of 4. The flat was well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. There were some building works opposite during the week with noise starting from 7am some days - didnt bother us as children have us up much earlier but might annoy others. Great location as a base to explore the town (albeit v.steep hill to Read moreget home!), and surrounding Dorset area. We would stay again! Hide

It is a comfortable and well equipped apartment situated only a 5 minute downhill stroll to the town centre. Beware the return journey is quite a steep climb. When we arrived we were quite disappointed to find no welcome pack particularly as this was promised in the special features information. We did not appreciate finding previous guests leftoveRead morers - vegetables, chips and ice creams in the freezer. The negative aspects are easily rectified by the owners/agency. Hide

Lovely apartment with a great view. Its a bit of an uphill walk from the town but manageable. It was lovely waking up to a sea view from the main bedroom. The apartment was well equipped and the furniture was lovely. The double bed was exceptionally comfortable. What we didn't like was that food from previous occupants had been left in the frRead moreeezer and that the apartment felt like it had not been cleaned properly. However this might have been an off week having seen other reviews. Also we have stayed in many properties and this is the first where we were not left a welcome pack of milk etc. In the area we particularly like mcallisters for breakfast a s had a lovely couple of meals in Tawny's. It's a good idea to make reservations as it can be hard to find places to eat in the evening. Overall we gad a great stay. Hide
