Set in a pretty location just a mile from the seaside, you can take a wander with your beloved hounds to Wiseman’s Bridge in search of the best sticks to fetch before stopping off at the local pup-friendly pub for a bite to eat. Back home at the lodge, humans and hounds can kick back and relax beside the warmth of the electric fire for a truly relaxing way to end the day.

Welcoming you into the lodge is the open-plan living room/kitchen/diner with two neutral sofas and an armchair around a TV and a flame-effect electric fire. The kitchen has a unique style and ample space to prepare a meal, with a dining table just metres away where you can gather to eat. At bedtime, the double bedroom ensures a good night''s sleep, with a wardrobe and chest of drawers for storage. The final bedroom is a twin which is well-suited to children. Outside, is a raised deck with garden furniture for al fresco dining and sundowners with your pup by your side.

Let your dog lead the way to the seaside haven of Saundersfoot (4 miles) to join a stretch of the South West Coast Path for a selection of wonderful walkies routes in either direction. The village itself boasts an array of dog-friendly shops and eateries where you can stop off for a treat before setting off to visit Tenby (7 miles) – a town speckled with pastel-coloured houses and awe-inspiring viewpoints. Further inland, venture to Colby Woodland, a beautiful National Trust garden (2 miles), for a whimsical wander through the natural beauty of the grounds or a picnic.

This was our first stay in a lodge at Heritage Park, Stepaside and we were delighted. The site is beautifully cared for from the lovely lawns and borders to the accessibility of the recycling area. Our lodge was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. A lovely, comfortable Lodge on a pristine site. Quiet and peaceful, surrounded by lovely countryside and a mile walk to the beach.

Lovely lodge well equipped . Only a couple of negatives, but only to improve already good standards. Couldn't believe there wasn't a mattress cover on the bed. Had to add another bottom sheet Also reception on tv very poor No BBC at all. A working radio or tv in bedroom would have been nice? Although not essential. Holiday Park was beRead moreautiful. The site and location was perfect. The Lodge was clean on the inside.
