This quaint cottage is in the charming town of Kettlewell in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. The cottage suits friends or family or a couple looking for a romantic retreat. With endless country walks on the doorstep your four-legged friends will love it too.

The cottage has been thoughtfully designed throughout. There’s space to leave your coats and wellies in the front porch along with a basket of dog blankets. The living space is on the first floor, and the two bedrooms are on the ground floor: a double and a super-king/twin with an en-suite shower room, as well as a family bathroom. Upstairs is the gorgeous lounge with cosy sofas and a wood burner, and the dining area. Enjoy a coffee in the sunshine in the small patio area at the front before heading off on a walk.

Step out from the door on walks to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside of the Dales, including the Kettlewell and Buckden circular, a 10.5-mile route that takes you uphill, crossing several streams, to a plateau with amazing views before descending to Buckden. Kettlewell is a typical Dales village with pretty cottages, three pubs (where you can take Fido for a drink too), and a village shop. If you need more shops, Skipton is 14 miles away, where you can also visit the ruins of the castle and priory. Hawes is 15 miles away, home to the famous Wensleydale Creamery where you can learn about the art of cheese-making. Malham Cove, a huge curving amphitheatre of 260-foot-high limestone rock is also worth visiting (10.5 miles away).

Super break and loved Eta Cottage. Ideal spot, well furnished (same kitchen as ours), cosy, really comfortable and a great fire to boot. Tremendous value for money and couldnt recommend more to anyone who wants to visit this wonderful part of England. Im biased but Yorkshire, Yorkshire, Yorkshire.

The cottage is misleading in the fact of 2 bedrooms as the second is really not big enough for a couple and not adequate hanging space. If you were staying just a couple of nights that maybe ok but not a week. The cottage had comfortable seating and beds. But the living area looked directly onto another property luckily no one seemed to be in on oRead moreur week. The bedrooom curtains had to remain closed because of the pub back doors being open all the time the pub was open . Also you faced immediately onto the street. We would not stay again. Hide

I stayed at Eta Cottage with my two daughters and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It's well located in a very beautiful village. The space providing the open plan lounge and dining room with a separate kitchen to one side was a most relaxing space to be in. Its very tasteful and the kitchen has everything you need. Parking was easy too. We unloadeRead mored outside the cottage and then the easiest thing to do was to use the main carpark literally a minute away. it costs 20 for the week with the added bonus it can be used in any National Park car park in the Dales. So well worth the money. Kettlewell is a stunning village and well positioned in the Dales itself. I would recommend this to anyone and wouldn't hesitate in returning. Thank you so much. Hide

A great location in the heart of Kettlewell with two great pubs within metres (no noise) and the car park a minutes walk away. On the small side but adequate and with two bathrooms which is excellent. Fully equipped and with a log fire if needed but the cottage is warm. No garden but if you have a pooch and need the before bed wee wee, lots of grasRead mores nearby around the car park area. Would recommend as long as a garden isnt important. Hide

Lovely light upstairs sitting room and kitchen area. Cottage is in a great location and is generally well equipped. Good wood burner - can buy logs etc at the village garage. Hooks and boot rack near door was great for walking gear, dog towel etc. Bathrooms both quite small but plenty of hot water and good sized towels provided.

Fantastic holiday. The cottage was perfect for two couples and ideally situated for access to many of the Dales attractions. There were also many circular walks close to the house.

Upstairs lounge and kitchen are lovely areas, although lounge would benefit from Smart TV. Tiny outside seating area could do with a bit of love, although wheelie bin has nowhere else to go.
