A lovely two-storey cottage located in the heart of Southwold and just 160 metres from the beachfront, this property is ideal for a family or two couples looking for a relaxing seaside holiday accompanied by one precious pup. You can see the lighthouse from the front door and can enjoy a walk past the brightly coloured beach huts to Denes Beach (0.5 miles), which welcomes your pup all year round.

This delightful property has a chic and contemporary feel to it, and with soft tones throughout, it has a welcoming home-from-home feel. On the ground floor, in true cottage style, you enter directly into the bright, spacious living room, which has plenty of natural light. There is an eye-catching ornamental fireplace, a Smart TV and three comfortable leather sofas to sink into at the end of a day at the beach. Four paws will be happy taking a snooze at your feet. A door at the back end of the room leads to a small conservatory with a dining table and chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped, so preparing some family favourites will be a breeze. Up on the first floor, there are two bedrooms: a double with views of the lighthouse, and a twin room. Completing this lovely property is a compact bathroom with a shower and WC. Outside, you will find access to a shared, enclosed courtyard and, within this, a small, fenced area with garden furniture for your sole use and a nice spot to enjoy a morning brew.

Walberswick Beach, with its black beach huts, is a mile away. Here, you can enjoy crabbing, kite-flying and surfing while your hound can enjoy splashing in the sea. Further afield is the leafy village of Reydon (1.5 miles), which is perfect for nature lovers, with plenty of natural beauty to admire on long walks by the estuary of the River Blyth. For a day out at a charming seaside town, head to Aldeburgh (18.5 miles) and enjoy a walk on the shingle beach and explore the independent boutiques, galleries and eateries.

6 East Green is a perfect base for a stay in Southwold. A nicely finished cottage with well equipped kitchen and plenty of natural light. Small outside courtyard with a table/chairs and space to keep bicycles (which we did). Despite on street parking we had no problems parking nearby,

The property we stayed in was just perfect for us all. My son, his lovely lady and my beautiful granddaughter joined my husband and I for a wonderful week full of fun and enjoyment, we particularly liked the outdoor space, and having the travel cot and high chair, thank you all very much.

Generally satisfied with our property however the mould in the bathroom is not really acceptable given the money we paid. We also found the kitchen utensils, cutterly, plates etc. had not been cleaned and were put away dirty. While we may use Original Cottages again as we have had good experiences in the past we will not be staying in this propertyRead more again. Hide

Although we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the bathroom needed updating. Though the shower itself was very good!
