Take one happy hound to this spacious, light and welcoming two-storey property, ideal for families and couples looking for a relaxing holiday. Perfect for exploring and experiencing the West Cornwall coast. You are less than a mile from bustling St Ives Harbour and beautiful Bamaluz Beach, a sandy spot which welcomes paw prints all year round.

This elegant house has a stylish and airy ground floor open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. With a TV, French doors to the garden and plenty of seating, the light-filled lounge makes a great place to sit back and chat about your next adventure. With underfloor heating, four paws will be spoilt for choice as to where to take a nap. The dining area is in a cosy alcove by the window, and the fully equipped kitchen is at the back of the room, making meal preparation a breeze. Upstairs you will find two bright and spacious bedrooms - a charming king-size room with TV and en-suite shower room, and a twin room with TV. The family bathroom is also on this floor. Outside, a lovely, enclosed garden awaits with a lawned area for your dog to play. Walk up a few steps to the pretty paved terrace with garden furniture, ideal for al fresco dining.

If you fancy a day at the seaside, take your hound to run around the sandy beach and dunes at Porthkidney Sands (4.5 miles) in Lelant. The beach is almost a mile long, so pack a ball and a picnic and enjoy a perfect day out. A lovely walk for all the family takes you from Helston (15 miles) to the Penrose Estate - 4 miles out and back. The route is mostly on a flat path suitable for buggies, and your four-legged friend can sniff out plenty of adventures in the marshy woodland and will no doubt find the small stream to splash in. For something a little different, visit the Cornish Sealife Sanctuary in Gweek (20 miles) where you can learn about seals and your canine companion can lead you on a woodland walk.

A lovely stay at a really well equipped home! We loved the fact we had parking as we do like to go out of St Ives now and again! The house had absolutely everything you needed and we really appreciated the air fryer for quick snacks. The downstairs wc was a bonus and our dog was happy to wander in and out of the patio door into the secure garden. TRead morehe sofa was comfortable to chill on after a long day at the beach and the shower in the en suite was large and powerful enough. The beds in both bedrooms were very firm: fine if you like a firm bed, but we prefer them a little softer. Watch you dont catch your legs on the wooden bed surround! The walk into the centre was about 10/15 mins and Porthmeor beach was 10 mins, all downhill. You need to be quite fit to march back up the hill though and I wouldnt recommend it to anyone with mobility difficulties. If you are visiting in high season with a dog, you may find the beaches restricting in the town. We drove to Gilberts Beach Bar in Hayle and used the dog friendly beach in front of it. The food was great there for lunch too! Altogether, a fantastic week in a very comfortable house! Hide

The cottage is lovely and has everything needed for a comfortable holiday including two bathrooms and three toilets and you also have a dedicated parking space. It's a short walk to town or to Porthmeor beach but it is uphill on the way back.

The property was lovely and clean and spacious for 2 adults and 1 dog. Lovely modern kitchen, nice large bedrooms and good size shower in the ensuite. It is quite a walk into St Ives which is downhill , but quite a hilly walk up. We used taxis instead of walking home and cost on average 5 -6 using Ace cars taxis based right in the middle of the Read moretown, excellent service. Also do tours if you are interested. Had a lovely week here from 7th to 14th September 2024. Hide

Really good sized property for us and our 3 year old daughter. Had everything we needed in terms of equipment and facilities. Bedrooms comfy and a really good size. Parking space a massive bonus, short walk to town, beaches, train station, walk back up is fairly steep which wasn't an issue for us but may be for others.
