A light-flooded country property surrounded by leafy gardens and fantastically positioned for exploring the Elham Valley, this charming hideaway is perfect for an outdoorsy family or group of friends with a couple of furry-tailed companions. Enjoy a peaceful scamper along the woodland path winding from the Church in Elham and drink in the sweeping valley views, before stretching weary paws by the crackling wood burner.

This inviting home features a charming country-home interior with a stone inglenook fireplace, earthy leather and wood features, and bright social spaces. Towel off mucky pups then step up into the lounge, fire up the wood burner, and unwind with a post-adventure tipple or throw open the patio doors and let the fresh country air drift inside. Whip up some treats in the light-dappled kitchen with your faithful friend pottering at your feet, then wine and dine with the rest of the pack around the wooden table. Curl up in the airy conservatory with a good book and gaze at Fido snuffling in the lush garden or grab a bottle and enjoy an al fresco nightcap on the patio under the stars. There is also a handy utility room downstairs for rinsing off muddy paws. Retreat to the sleeping areas upstairs consisting of an en-suite king, an adaptable super-king/twin, and a twin. Curious canines will have a ball exploring the enclosed garden with an upper and lower patio or sniffing out the pond and greenhouse.

Peels End was perfect for our family reunion, allowing three couples to meet up with excellent comfortable shared spaces, while the three bedrooms are set slightly apart from each other thus retaining a feeling of privacy. For keen cooks the kitchen was much better equipped than many a place we have stayed in, and for keen walkers the beautiful vilRead morelage of Elham is surrounded by pleasant walking routes. Possibly one of the best l have stayed in and l have done a lot of cottages in this country. Nice welcome pack. Beautiful garden. Very well situated to explore Kent. Highly recommended.

Lovely, comfortable well-equipped house and a beautiful garden. Local businesses seem to be struggling, several were closed (maybe temporarily in one case), so there was only one nearby place to eat.

A real home from home, the cottage has everything for a comfortable stay. Plenty of space, lovely garden, lounge and conservatory both opening onto patio, outdoor seating, beautifully kept, spotless bathrooms. I could go on. The only things to perhaps note are (1) that the front bedroom wardrobes are not available for use and (2) the property is seRead moremi-detached, which we didnt realise from the details. This was not a problem. We couldnt hear a sound from next door and most of the living space is far from the party wall. However, if you have a particular desire to be detached (we have autistic children who can be very loud so try not to be a nuisance to neighbours) this may be a point for consideration. All in all, this is a really delightful place to stay. Hide
