Escape to the south-east of Cornwall to a characterful coastal-themed cottage with homely touches and a laid-back atmosphere. After a day of adventure with your four-legged friend and additional guests, retire to your cosy bolthole in the heart of Fowey. Enjoy a glass of wine and a quick game of chase in the enclosed garden, or put your feet up in front of the crackling wood burner.
Climb some steps to reach the front door of this charming cottage. As you walk inside you’ll be met with a relaxing open-plan living/diner with two comfortable sofas and a dining table and chairs. The farmhouse-style kitchen has everything you need to muster up a special home-cooked meal. On the first floor, you’ll find a king-size bedroom, snug with a day bed and a shower room. Climb another set of stairs to the lovely third bedroom with twin beds. Outside is a small, enclosed garden with furniture.
The port town of Fowey sits on the edge of a river in the South Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This property is located close to the water, surrounded by dog-welcoming restaurants and cafes. There’s also a nearby bakery (less than 0.5 miles) to ensure you start your day in the best way before heading to Readymoney Cove (1 mile) which allows dogs in the winter season, or Polridmouth Cove (2.5 miles) which is dog-friendly all year round. Catch a ferry across to Hall Walk nature reserve (1 mile) or head off along the coastal path to National Trust – Lantic Bay (3 miles) if you’re up for a long hike.
