Unwind and relax in this charming riverside retreat on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. Gather with your family or friends for al fresco dining with a bottle of bubbly on the raised terrace, warm up in front of the crackling wood burner on a chilly night while playing some games together, or take some time for yourself in the freestanding bath. Spend your time away exploring the nearby scenic dog walking routes through forests, around lakes and to the top of towering mountain peaks.
Step inside the open-plan kitchen/diner and walk across the heated slate floor. Prepare a special meal in the farmhouse-style kitchen with a wooden beamed ceiling, an oak dining table with six chairs, and bi-folding doors that open up onto the terrace. Put your feet up in the living room, where there are two large sofas in front of the wood burner and Smart TV. Also on the ground floor is a utility room and a bathroom. Climb the stairs to reach the landing with a chair and binoculars. Walk across the antique pine floorboards to reach a family bathroom and three bedrooms – a king-size, double and bunk bedroom. Outside is a terrace, furniture and lawned grounds that lead to a riverbank.
During your stay in Cwmllinau, just 1.5 miles from the edge of Snowdonia, you’ll be surrounded by nature and wildlife. Within easy reach are several mountain peaks – such as Aran Fawddy (21 miles) and Penygader (15.5 miles). Bring your swimsuits as Cregennan Lakes are 20 miles away, as is the Snowdonia coast. Barmouth is 24 miles away and you can take Fido all year round.
