This charming cottage is nestled in a quiet village, on the edge of the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Sleeping three guests, it makes a great romantic bolthole or rural escape for a small family. The cottage is 5 miles from the coast, giving you easy access to sandy, paw-friendly beaches and coast paths. After a long dog walk, return to the cottage for a glass of wine in the beautiful sunroom.
The contemporary cottage is decorated in neutral tones with little nods to the coastal location in the accessories and soft furnishings. The relaxing lounge has plump sofas to sink into to watch the TV/DVD, whilst Rover curls up on the rug by the wood burner. The compact kitchen has been cleverly designed to include everything you need to create tasty meals, to enjoy together at the dining table in the sunroom. The two pretty bedrooms are located on the first floor, as well as the family shower room. Outside, a shared path leads to a private courtyard and long, narrow garden where you can fire up the BBQ on balmy, summer nights, or simply unwind on the bench with a sundowner.
Grab your beach towels and head to the coast, for a traditional day at the seaside. Brancaster (7.5 miles) – one of Norfolk’s finest beaches – welcomes four-pawed visitors all year. With miles of golden sand, it’s easy to find your own little tranquil spot, even during the summer. Another favourite amongst dog walkers is Old Hunstanton (13 miles). Being one of Norfolk’s only west-facing beaches, it’s a lovely spot for a sunset stroll with your canine companion. Burnham Market (3 miles) is a great place to pick up local produce for your supper, and also boasts over 30 independent shops, many of which welcome dogs.
