This hand-crafted cabin in the heart of the Kent countryside provides a unique rural retreat for two set in 10 acres of fields. There are wildlife cameras set up all around the lodge, allowing you to watch nature in real time on the TV. There are doggie towels and external warm and cold taps for washing and wiping muddy doggy paws.
The property has been cleverly designed to be energy efficient and make great use of space. Large windows allow natural light to flood in and provide incredible views of the wildlife, and some of the smaller pieces of furniture in the lounge have been crafted by the owner to fit the space perfectly. The property is all on one level and there’s an en-suite wet room. Head to the small, decked area outside via the French doors in the king-size bedroom where there’s a large lawn enclosed by a wire fence cut with wildflower paths, a hot tub, BBQ, dining table and chairs, a chiminea, and lots of space for your furry friend to run around.
Head to Biddenden Vineyards, 4 miles away, to go on a tour and wine tasting. Tenterden, 8 miles away, is the starting point for the Kent and East Sussex Railway which goes to Bodiam Castle, where you can wander around the ancient ruins with your furry friend (they’re also welcome on the train!). The pretty neighbouring village of Cranbrook, 5 miles away, has a windmill and museum to visit. There’s coarse fishing at Cackle Hill Lakes in Biddenden and at the Hawkhurst Fish Farm. You can walk to Sissinghurst Castle and Gardens (about 4 miles) through the fields or head further afield to the historic town of Rye 19 miles away, which is just 2 miles from the coast.
