A fabulous place for a special get-together with family or friends, this peaceful house has lots of space for everyone to relax and an enclosed garden that’s ideal for children and canine companions. It’s close to the coast in a pretty village, within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Set over three stories with a reverse-level design, this large house has three of its five bedrooms on the ground floor: a super-king-size with a TV and en-suite shower room, and two king-size rooms decorated in soft, calm colours, one of which has a TV. A shower room and a garden room complete this level. Head up the winding wooden staircase to the first floor, and you’ll find a small lounge with a TV and a large lounge with SkyTV and a wood burner-effect electric fire. The kitchen/diner is on this floor, too, a well-planned space with lots of cupboards and a tiled floor for setting down your hounds’ bowls. On the top floor (where the ceilings are low and sloping), you’ll find two tranquil bedrooms with TVs: a super-king-size and a twin, sharing a bathroom. On warmer days, step out of the door in the garden room and dine on the patio while children and dogs run off their energy on the huge lawn.
The coastal village of Thornham is popular with walkers, cyclists, birdwatchers, photographers and artists. It’s a half-mile walk to its isolated beach, via saltmarshes and sand dunes, but worth it when you get there – an expanse of sand which is perfect for playing fetch and zooming. For family amusements, the popular seaside town of Hunstanton is 5 miles, and Burnham Market, renowned for its range of independent shops and places to eat, is just 7 miles by bus or car.
