We had a very enjoyable stay at Durlston Mews. The kitchen is very well equipped, with an outdoor courtyard at the back to enjoy a meal or two outside. There is no dishwasher, not essential but there is a washing machine. The cottage was very clean, bright and well presented. A lovely touch to leave us some cold bottled water in the fridge, milk, tRead moreea, coffee and sugar. We didn't expect this so thank you. The sitting room is very comfortable and both bedrooms are a good size. The property was very clean and it was great to have off street parking. We would definitely recommend this cottage to our friends! Hide

We had a great holiday at 1 Durlston Mews in Swanage. The accommodation was modern, clean and comfortable, with a good set of equipment, and convenient off-road parking. The location is an excellent base for scenic trips and bird watching. The ensuite, not common in two-bedroom holiday lets, was very convenient and useful. As it was rather compactRead more, though, a certain amount of ingenuity was needed to find room for everything. The property's enclosed back garden was great for the dog, and would have been large enough for drying laundry outdoors if a clothes line had been provided. We were glad of the welcome pack, and some essential supplies were helpfully provided. As we were booked in for two weeks, though, a few spares (such as an extra bin liner) would have been useful. Quite difficult to find cottage as no signage at car park entrance. Cottage is located at top of a very steep hill but it is only a five minute walk to town and beach. Durlston country park is lovely for walks with good sea views.

The property was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable and the area lovely and quiet at night, we slept well. The location was within a few minutes walk of the town centre, we didn't need to use the car after our arrival. The Downs are only a couple of minutes from the property and out dog had a fantastic time running aRead moreround and playing with other dogs that she met. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and we would love to book the property again next time we want to stay in Swanage. Hide

Very clean accommodation. Not really a 'sea view' as was expected. Very close to town, beach etc. which was good. Very steep hill up to the house, so not suitable for everybody

We feel it should be rated a 3 star not 4star. Good location, parking a bonus. Property looking tired (apart from 2 modern bathrooms).

Lovely clean and comfortable cottage and Swanage is a lovely town the only problem we had with it was that we dont have a car and the walk up the hill of Park Road is very steep. Hard for us oldies. The walk up and down the other road via the park is a bit better. I do wish that had been made a bit clearer when I was booking. Cottage was very well presented, very comfy bed, nice sofas and well equipped kitchen. The bedrooms were light and spacious and both bathrooms are modern with nice fittings. Our second stay at this lovely property and I'm sure we'll be back again. So close to the park, beach and town, it's in the perfect spot. Warm and homely with comfortable beds and newly fitted bathrooms. Car parking and a small, sunny garden. Perfect weather too!
