This quiet dog-friendly apartment offers a romantic holiday spot for a duo of guests and up to one pet. It’s located in Kingswear, a charming character village located on the River Dart Estuary in Devon. The property is enveloped by nature and offers mesmerising views over the water and to Kingswear Castle 2 miles away. Its patio and multi-level garden, filled with shrubs and other plants is a delightful place to relax with your partner and pet.

Expect attention to detail and plenty of character at this ground-floor property, whose interior has been thoughtfully created with attractive soft furnishings and quirky artefacts. The hallway is handy for leaving your coats and shoes before stepping into the lounge, where you can sink into the welcoming sofa or armchair and watch TV. Your pet can warm up while you relax into a film snuggled up to your loved one. The kitchen has a rustic feel to it; ideal for preparing a special holiday meal using local produce picked up at Dartmouth Market (1 mile, Tuesdays and Fridays). The light-filled dining area, with dual-aspect windows and large dining table, is a lovely spot for candlelit dinners. This leads out to the impressive outdoor space which is excellent for making the most of mild evenings.

You’ll find plenty of doggie-friendly activities to do nearby, whether that’s taking the passenger ferry to Dartmouth (1.5 miles) or enjoying a ride on a steam train (0.5 miles). The beautiful seaside town of Paignton, with its Victorian pier, is 7 miles away, while Torquay (10 miles) is a little further north.

This property was one of the best equipped we have stayed in over the years. Situated in a very tranquil spot but not too far from all that Dartmouth has to offer.

Lovely apartment, we found the walk along the footpath to town easy enough and the dogs enjoyed it. The ferry to Dartmouth was very reasonable and very frequent. We had a superb time thank you.

About 10-15 minutes walk from the heart of Kingswear, at the head of a creek, where there are 2 good public houses, post office, village shop, coffee shop and Italian bistro. This is where you can get the ferry to Dartmouth and the steam train to Paignton, as well as pick up the South West Coast Trail. Nearby is Coleton Fishacre (NT). Property was cold, and we had to put the air conditioning on - unusual for end of May. This was largely down to the positioning of the property which got no sun. Also there were literally no views of anything other than a few trees, which was very misleading as lots of views of the harbour were shown on the website.other than that, the property was Read moreclean and well maintained and in easy reach of the harbour and walks. The cottage is in a fantastic location, a stone's throw from a lovely green area (great if you have a dog) which, if you walk a little further, takes you right into town, from where the ferry to Dartmouth is easily accessible and regular. Kingswear itself is lovely, with a few good pubs etc, and Dartmouth offers plenty more. The house itself is a gRead morereat place to stay, very well equipped and in a quiet location. Hide

overall a very comfortable apartment althoung a little cold in the morning and evening as the living room heater didnt work. and also unable to dry towells. sugest all these run off a thermostat instead of a timer. as timers do no take into account outside temperature drops especially in autumn months.

I said we had no car when I booked over the phone.. Apartment, which was lovely, was supposed to be near ferry but we had to walk in the road some way to get there with our cases and as we are 74 and 76 the going was hard work as we could not find the place for a long time even though we asked different people just lucky to see a delivery driver whRead moreo told us where it was by which time we were very tired.Found a footpath in the woods to use other days. Only 1 local store and 1 pub in Kingswear which was lovely. You really needed a car. Although I have an iPhone Wi-Fi not very good. Very few channels on tv. We have already booked and paid for another holiday with you to Whitby in September. I would make sure if I was recommending you to somebody else without a car to make sure it was nearer amenities. We did have lovely weather which probably helped overcome the other problems. Hide
