This semi-detached bungalow sits in the quiet gardens of the Stoneleigh Holiday Park in Weston, near Sidmouth: a cosy, family-friendly base for exciting trips exploring the Devon Coast’s renowned countryside and coastline. Weston itself has a small beach for sandcastle building and sunbathing and a Donkey Sanctuary (0.5 miles) for a fun, family day out. The cafe here will complete your visit. Weston’s local bus service accesses many nearby seasides: don’t miss the Regency town of Sidmouth (4 miles) which has both sweeping countryside in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the scenic Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stop off at the sandy, Blue Flag-awarded beach, walk the esplanade and sample the town’s cafes and restaurants for local seafood and Devon cream teas. The South West Coast Path passes through Sidmouth, offering scenic cliffside views as you ramble.

It’s nice to come home to this light, bright bungalow. Enter the open-plan living area via one step up and immediately relax. There’s a modern kitchen for cooking family dinners, a dining table just to the side of it and a trendy sofa and armchair facing the kitchen for when you finally put your feet up. Lots of windows add spaciousness; plus the TV, DVD player, radio and children’s games mean family nights in will always be fun. A hallway leads to the homely double and twin bedrooms, and the shower room.

At the front of the bungalow, there’s a lawn garden with a coffee table and two chairs so you can take your morning or evening drinks in the fresh air. There’s also a park on site which has a children’s play area and delightful views - a great place to make family memories.

Once we had arrived on site we had trouble locating the property. It is not signed as Pebble Cottage. The cottage is not very warm and a little on the damp side.
