For a relaxing stroll, head to esplanade, or to get the hearts pounding and the tails wagging, hike along the coast path towards Lyme Regis (4 miles). This unusual, jungle-like stretch of the South West Coast Path takes you through the shady Undercliffs National Nature Reserve, making it the perfect choice for hot dogs on a sunny afternoon. Nearby Sidmouth (9.5 miles) makes a great doggy day out, with its paw-friendly beach and fantastic range of independent shops and eateries.
