The property, which sleeps two humans and two small hounds, makes the perfect romantic bolthole and has a fantastic choice of dog walks from its front door. Wander down to the beach (1.5 miles) or stride out along the dramatic South West Coast Path, which passes through the town. The property has a spectacular, enclosed garden, bursting with colourful flowers and its own, private summerhouse.
Step inside the bungalow and into the entrance hall, which leads to the cosy lounge/diner. The space is decorated in a homely style, with comfortable furniture and a collection of quirky knickknacks and fascinating artwork. It’s the perfect place to unwind after a long dog walk, watching TV or simply admiring the views across the valley. From the charming double bedroom, French doors open onto the garden, so the pups can potter in and out. A beach-themed bathroom completes the property. Outside, a tranquil haven awaits. The enclosed garden is full of beautiful flowers, as well as a pond, waterfall, statues and outdoor lighting. Steps lead to a relaxing summerhouse (equipped with sofa and TV) and swing seat, and there’s also outdoor furniture on the patio.
Seaton Beach is a pebble beach and has sections that welcome furry visitors all year. It’s also a popular spot for swimming and water sports and you can hire kayaks and paddleboards nearby. Enjoy a relaxing stroll along the esplanade, taking in the beautiful scenery, or stride out along the South West Coast Path. The 4-mile stretch towards Lyme Regis is particularly fascinating, taking you through the Undercliffs National Nature Reserve. Sidmouth makes a great doggy day out, with a woof-friendly beach and a plethora of independent shops, cafes, and restaurants.
