Location is great. On main road but not busy at all.We were able to park our estate car on driveway by leaving garage door open and reversing in halfway. It would be a problem if you have a wide car. Its more the width than the length thats the issue. There is a long stay car park about 500m away opposite the tramway which looks quite safe. There isRead more a bus stop right outside the house and we used the bus to get to Sidmouth and Beer and to be honest it made a nice change and cost 3 The house was lovely and clean and comfortable, the town is just around the corner! Very clean, and very well equipped beautiful property. The bed was very comfortable and the towels were soft. I would like to know what washing powder was used, as everything smelt so lovely! Good shower. The flowers, delicious biscuits, and tea were much appreciated. We would definitely stay again. Highly recommend. Thank you.

A comfortable and spacious 1920s detached house with an entirely enclosed rear garden with a large lawn ideal for kids' ball games. Very comfortable sitting room with two three-seater sofas and a Freeview TV. Large dining area with a long table, ideal for families. Large well-equipped kitchen and huge utility area for laundry as well as a downstaiRead morers toilet. Upstairs, two large bedrooms and a smaller one with bunks. The family bathroom has an efficient shower cubicle but no bath. Wifi is excellent throughout the house. The house is in an ideal location for all that Seaton has to offer - for example, it's a short walk both to The Tramway or to the beach. It is not possible to park a modern family car on the driveway unless you open the garage door and poke either the bonnet or the rear into the garage (I recommend this 'dodge', as on-street parking is limited). The width of the garage means that you cannot easily drive a car fully in and then get out of the car! Ideal for a Smart Car or an original Mini. That said, this is a great option for a family of six and I highly recommend it. Hide

Security of garden gate needs to be improved, blew open twice which put the dogs at risk of being able to access a busy road. Can only park on drive or in garage if your vehicle is small. Property needed to be cleaner particularly the kitchen utensils and cooking trays/pans. Garden is not very private as overlooked. First time we have been disappoRead moreinted with a holiday rental hence left for home earlier. Hide

Very tidy, central to the town and beach, and close to the Seaton tramway and nature reserve. Fairly new refit of the house, which was lovely, with two toilets. Laundry facilities, kitchen fully equipped, with everything you needed for staying. Only downside is the parking has to be a bit carefully managed (kind of a small entry from a busy road), Read morebut it is a tidy garage to reverse into. We were quite pleased with the whole setup for the week we were there. Would recommend to others. Hide

This was our second visit to Dalmose as we really enjoyed our stay last year. The accommodation is perfect with a large garden and so much space. We have three dogs so it was lovely to have the utility room to store all their equipment and food. The bedroom we stayed in, had lots of space and the king size bed and pillows are extremely comfortabRead morele. The property is located in a fantastic position which is around 5 - 10 minutes walk to the beach, where there were numerous cafes and shops. There are also a number of dog friendly pubs. The food from the local fish and chip was made to order and delicious. There is also a large supermarket within 10 minutes walk. We visited Seaton Beach which is the local beach several times. The property is perfectly positioned only 10 - 15 minutes drive from other local beaches and towns/villages. We visited Beer, Branscombe Beach, Lyme Regis and Sidmouth where we walked up to the Bye a large grassed area along side a stream which was perfect for walking the dogs. We had a fantastic break at Dalmose and would go again for the third time. Hide

Nice house, very comfortable, good garden for dogs. Have to be careful at front busy road. I have a medium size car and could not get it on the drive without it sticking out on the pavement. Double yellows on the road so a bit awkward packing and unpacking the car.

The cottage Dalmose was perfect for us and 3 dogs with a lovely large garden. It was very clean and well looked after and formed a fantastic base for local visits. Dalmose is extremely comfortable with lovely king size beds which were extremely comfortable, including very comfortable pillows. Hence we slept really well. We visited Lyme RegRead moreis and Sidmouth both 15 - 20 minutes drive away. We spent a day on the tramways which was just a 5 minutes walk to Seaton Tramways station. Seaton beach is just 5/6 minutes walk from the cottage as are the local shops including an Aldi. The local pub is dog friendly too. When we arrived we struggled to initially find the cottage and then to get the car on the drive as the road was quite busy around 4pm. However, there was free parking on Meadow Road a side road just opposite the cottage where we managed to find free parking daily. We would definitely book the Dalmose again. Hide

Great place to spend a week, ideal for hoping around South Devon and Dorset. If you have kids then Lyme Regis is a must and only a short drive (Cobb car park on the beach before 9 to get a space), The tramway in Seaton is well worth the trip and the best restaurant is Le Pisani (try the pizza and waffles).
