Perfectly placed for a seaside holiday just metres from Sandsend Beach, this spacious home combines traditional features with modern touches to provide an ideal holiday cottage for a large group of family or friends. Despite being central, the house comes with private parking, it also has a south-facing patio at the front with wonderful sea views – enclosed and safe for your four-legged friend.

Traditional features add to the property’s charm and are complemented by more recent additions, like the shaker-style kitchen, the wine fridge, and the flame-effect gas fire. The living space has a Smart TV and DVD, plenty of space to lounge and admire the view, and there’s a lovely dining area in the kitchen. Upstairs, are the three gorgeous bedrooms: a king-size, a double and a twin, as well as a bathroom and a shower room. Soak up the sun on the pretty front patio where you can enjoy drinks or a meal alfresco.

Sandsend Beach is at the end of the road. It’s a beautiful, large sandy beach with amazing vistas down the coast to Whitby and the ruins of Whitby Abbey. It’s also a great spot for rock pooling, fossil hunting, fishing, and wild swimming. You can walk all the way to Whitby along the beach and back, a 5-mile round trip, with your furry friend. Heading away from the coast, there’s a roughly 4-mile circular walk to the ruins of Mulgrave Castle, which sits at the top of a hill surrounded by woodlands where you’ll find lovely walking trails to go on. Head to Staithes, 7 miles away, to uncover Captain Cook’s connection with the village, or explore visit Whitby’s gothic streets and visit the Captain Cook Memorial Museum (3 miles).

Absolutely beautiful home....everything you needed, solid high end quality....perfect location and the window over looking the the sea where my husband spent many an afternoon was an added bonus to what was a fantastic holiday in a beautiful location.

Very comfortable cottage and exceptionally clean. Superb fitted kitchen and excellent sea views from a very cosy corner in the lounge. Well positioned for Whitby and surrounding areas.

All about the location! Perfect for beach access and comfortable to come home to. So close you can nip back to make a picnic! 2 bathrooms a bonus. Take water shoes as sea difficult to access without.

Lovely cottage, well placed for visiting the area, with lots of walks right on the doorstep. Loved the sea view from the front window! The kitchen was well equipped for self catering, the sofas were comfortable and there was plenty of room for everyone. The location was very good. Sandsend is a beautiful place for a non commercial break The pub and cafes are excellent value for money and serve fabulous food and drink The property is in a good location on a non through road with proper views of the sea The kitchen was clean on arrival with plenty of crockery and cookware The welcome basket wRead moreas a nice touch, thank you But the sitting room was very dusty and didn't look like it had been cleaned for a while The floorboards upstairs creak a lot and it was hard creaping around at night with a baby asleep The shower is quite small with black mould in the cubicle We were a multi generation family with a baby and the travel cot and high chair were much appreciated On the whole we had a lovely time Hide
