This contemporary cottage on the edge of Port Eynon Beach is perfect for a family or group of friends and one lucky pup looking for a quiet base for coastal adventures. Port Eynon is a small village at the southernmost tip of the Gower Peninsula in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Port Eynon Bay (0.5 miles) has almost a mile of golden sand backed by dunes. However, between 1 May and 30 September, your pup can only access the beach area from the main steps west to the Salt House.

This stylish two-storey property is decorated in warm tones with bold splashes of colour in the furnishings, giving the space a vibrant energy. A clever reverse-level design makes the most of the views of the surrounding area. On the ground floor, you''ll find a family bathroom, a king-size bedroom with en-suite bathroom and two twin bedrooms - one with patio doors leading out to the garden. Upstairs, an open-plan dining/living room is flooded with natural light from the floor-to-ceiling patio doors leading to the balcony. The cosy living area has plenty of comfortable seating for you and your four-legged friends and a TV for evening entertainment. In the adjoining kitchen, you will find everything you need to prepare memorable meals. Finally, on the first floor is a twin bedroom. Enjoy the enclosed, south-facing lawned garden with a wonderful coastal backdrop where your pups can safely stretch their legs.

There are so many nearby, wonderful beaches to enjoy, and Oxwich Bay (6 miles) has it all - perfect for kayaking and paddleboarding, a beautiful sandy beach to make sandcastles and the option of a boat trip for your sea dogs to look out for dolphins. Enjoy walks along the coastal path from Port Eynon or head to Loughor Estuary (16 miles) and let the hounds sniff out adventures along the footpath in this nature reserve rich with birdlife.

We thought this Cottage was absolutely perfect. A Stones throw from the beach and a pub, restaurant and fantastic coffee shop all within a minute walk. The beds were really comfortable and we slept really soundly. The kitchen had everything we needed and we cooked in one night. The towels were large and fluffy. It really was a great place to stay. An amazing place for Christmas. Everything about the cottage is so well thought out, with the bedrooms downstairs and living rooms upstairs with a balcony looking over the sea and the sunrise. Its on the Wales ,coast path which provides spectacular walks. Very well equipped too and beds comfortable.
