Beautifully decorated with a mix of old and new, this stylish and spacious house is a perfect destination for families and friends, perhaps celebrating a special occasion. Located in a picturesque coastal village within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it makes an excellent base for exploring North Norfolk’s beaches, countryside and attractions.
There’s lots of room for everyone to either spread out or socialise together in this comfortable house, with two inviting seating areas – one in the main lounge, around an open fire and TV/DVD, and the other at the far end of the dining area, a high-ceilinged, light-filled space where there’s a TV and glass doors to the garden. The colourful kitchen has been designed for easy holiday cooking, and has a dining table for eight where everyone can gather for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The ground floor also benefits from a convenient shower room with WC. Head upstairs and you’ll find four bedrooms: two doubles with TVs, one boasting a gorgeous four-poster bed and the other with a pretty metal bed, and two twins – one with a TV and one with 2’ 6” beds, and each with small areas of low, sloping ceilings. Two bathrooms complete the first floor offering inside this lovely house. In warm weather, you’ll want to head outside and spend time on the lovely patio, where there’s comfortable furniture in which to relax while pups and children play on the lawn.
The coastal village of Thornham is separated from the sea by atmospheric saltmarshes and is a picturesque place to stay all year round, with lots of historic buildings and a great deli/cafe/store. To reach its secluded beach, ideal for exercising energetic hounds, it’s a 0.5-mile walk through sand dunes. The lively village of Brancaster, known for its seafood, is 3 miles, and the seaside town of Hunstanton, for family fun and a sandy beach, is 5 miles.
