Gather your family and four-pawed pal for an adventure on the Welsh coast at this charming cottage, perfect for larger groups. Traditionally styled with a warm and welcoming feel throughout, this property has a unique upside-down layout to ensure you get to make the most of the awe-inspiring sea views from the first floor. Head to Port Eynon Beach (1 mile) to sniff out adventure right on your doorstep and soak in the serenity of staying right beside the sea.
Make your way up to the first floor to find the main open-plan social space with far-reaching views of the coast, including the living room/diner where the whole family can sprawl out on the comfortable, rich-toned sofas to watch a film with Fido at their feet. The dining area has space for eight guests to sit around and indulge in a home-cooked feast, whilst the kitchen offers ample space and everything you could need for the chef of the family to fix up meals come breakfast, lunch or dinner. Downstairs are all four bedrooms, comprising a cosy king-size with two bright windows and an en-suite shower room, as well as three twin rooms all sharing similar decor. Completing the cottage is a family bathroom with both white and terracotta tiles beside the relaxing bathtub. Outside, the suntrap south-facing garden offers an alternate space to spend time with your loved ones when the sun is shining, and a lush lawn for your pup to play on. What’s more, the private balcony offers a perfect spot for a morning coffee.
Let your dog lead the way to Oxwich Bay (4 miles), which is accessible along the coast path; have a ball with the beautiful woodland at one end offering plenty of sticks to fetch on a walk and a golden stretch of sand presenting endless hours of fun. Alternatively, head in the opposite direction towards Rhossili (5 miles) where you’ll get the opportunity to marvel at the views of Worm’s Head from the Gower Coast National Nature Reserve.
