This charming cottage is set in a peaceful, rural location on the Gower Peninsula, less than 0.5 miles from a sandy, woof-welcoming beach and the spectacular Gower Coast Path. The property sleeps four guests and one canine companion and is ideal for couples, small families, and pups who love getting out and about in nature. After a day of exploring, enjoy an evening of al fresco entertaining in the pretty garden.
The traditional stone cottage is bursting with personality, thanks to a plethora of original features and eclectic mix of furniture. Subtle lighting and a roaring wood burner are used to set the mood and create a cosy bolthole for you and your furry friend. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is a sociable space, where you can cook together in the farmhouse-style kitchen, dine around the table, and sink into the sumptuous sofas to share stories or watch TV. The colourful rug in front of the wood burner is bound to become a favourite spot for Fido, especially after a tiring coastal walk. The two bedrooms – a double and a twin – are located upstairs, and both have en-suite facilities. The outside area is fully enclosed for your four-pawed pal, and has a pretty, raised patio for outdoor dining.
You and your hairy sidekick will be spoilt for choice when it comes to beaches. The 2-mile stretch of golden sand at Whiteford Sands is just 0.5 miles away. Here, you can enjoy a nature walk through the burrows, and admire the views of the UK’s only cast iron lighthouse. Other nearby, woof-friendly beaches include the secluded Broughton Bay (4 miles) and the surfing hotspot of Rhossili Bay (9 miles). History enthusiasts can enjoy inland walks at the historic sites of Arthur’s Stone (4 miles) and Weobley Castle (2 miles).
