This romantic bolthole for two humans and three hounds is on the beautiful Gower Peninsula. Nestled amongst 100 acres of wood and grassland, you’ll have endless dog-walking opportunities from your doorstep. Further afield, the magnificent paw-friendly beach at Rhossili Bay is just 11 miles away. The property has a large, enclosed garden for your canine buddies, and boasts spectacular views across the countryside and estuary.
The self-contained holiday cottage is part of the owner’s farmhouse. Inside, a warm welcome awaits in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, which features a beamed ceiling and cosy wood burner. With hard floors and direct access to the garden, this is the perfect place for the hounds to set up camp. Create delicious meals in the farmhouse-style kitchen, to share at the wooden dining table. After dinner, snuggle up on the sofas to watch TV. A utility room and shower room complete the ground floor. Stairs lead to the first floor, where you can choose from a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room or one of the twin rooms with a separate bathroom (the property sleeps two guests in one room, so please specify which you would prefer when booking). Patio doors from the lounge open onto a large, enclosed garden where the pack can play on the lawn and you can dine alfresco.
For a doggy day out to the seaside, head to Rhossili Bay. This 3-mile expanse of golden sand welcomes woofers all year, and is also a popular spot for water sports enthusiasts. There are some beautiful walks in the area, including to Worm’s Head. The vibrant village of Mumbles (12 miles) is a must during your stay. The village has a fantastic range of independent shops and eateries, and you and your four-pawed companions can also explore the impressive Oystermouth Castle.
