This idyllic retreat boasts a secluded setting overlooking Pwll Du Beach on the Gower Peninsula. The property accommodates up to four guests and two pups and makes a great base for those looking to get away from it all. Amble just 500 metres from the property and you’ll be on the pretty, pebbly beach, which welcomes canine visitors all year. For shops and eateries, head into nearby Mumbles, just 7 miles away.
The enchanting annexe is full of personality, with original beams and exposed stonework, along with cute accessories and an eclectic mix of furniture. At the end of the day, spend time relaxing in the lounge/kitchen/diner, preparing tasty dishes to share at the dining table by the window, or stretched out on the plump sofa. In winter, light the wood burner, to create a cosy dozing spot for the hounds. You’ll also find a sofa bed here, to accommodate two guests if needed. A spiral staircase winds to the first floor, which houses a colourful double bedroom which opens out onto the spectacular balcony. There’s also a Jack and Jill-style shower room, which is accessed from both the bedroom and the landing. The large balcony is a tranquil haven, where you can chill out with a glass of wine as the sun sets over the sea.
The village of Bishopston is 5 miles away (or approx. 2 miles on foot/paw through the woods) and has three woof-friendly pubs to dine in. There are some beautiful walks in and around the village, including the Bishopston Valley Walk, taking you past hidden limestone caves, picturesque rivers, and through ancient woodland. The clifftop paths that branch away from the village, taking you along the Wales Coast Path, are also spectacular, particularly the stretch overlooking Caswell and Langland Bay (both within 10 miles).
