Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life in this rural retreat on the Gower Peninsula. The property has an open-plan, sociable layout and sleeps four guests and one canine buddy, making it ideal for couples and small families. The central location makes this property perfect for exploring the whole peninsula, with highlights such as Rhossili, Oxwich, and Mumbles all within 10 miles.
The picturesque farmhouse is warm and inviting, with beautiful exposed woodwork and delicate soft furnishings and accessories. Hard floor run throughout the living areas, making it easy to deal with muddy pawprints, and patio doors allow your furry friend to amble in and out to the courtyard. The open-plan kitchen/diner is bright and airy, with a table to seat all four guests, and everything you need to rustle up delicious meals. After dinner, unwind on the comfortable seating in the lounge to watch TV or read a book. Two stylish shower rooms complete the ground floor. The two double bedrooms are upstairs and offer a tranquil haven in which to relax. Both bedrooms are accessed via their own set of stairs. Outside, pour yourself a glass of wine and soak up the sunshine, whilst Rover potters around the courtyard.
Heading west, you’ll soon reach the pretty village of Llangennith (7 miles), which has a popular woof-welcoming pub and a collection of cute cafes. It’s also home to one of Gower’s most celebrated surfing beaches, set at the northern end of Rhossili Bay. Enjoy walks with the woofers along the beach all year, or follow one of the clifftop paths for spectacular coastal views towards Worm’s Head. The fishing village of Mumbles (10 miles) also makes a great doggy day out, with an excellent range of eateries, Victorian pier, and medieval castle to explore with the pup.
