The lounge wood burner will provide warmth on colder days, along with the fortifying meals created in the small kitchen opposite. Elsewhere, the cottage offers a modern wet room and two serene bedrooms - an en-suite master bedroom with a sleigh bed and a twin bedroom - both with wooden flooring throughout. The bustling market town of Kelso (3 miles) offers a range of attractions, including Floors Castle, which has dog-friendly grounds and gardens. The woodland and grounds of Abbotsford (18 miles), the former home of legendary Scottish writer Sir Walter Scott, also welcome four-pawed explorers.
