Lead the way to adventure from this charming cottage in a rural corner of Snowdonia National Park. Perfect for a family of four and your two canine companions, as no holiday is complete without your beloved dogs. With the coastal path and the rolling mountains on the doorstep, you will never be short of things to do.

Containing original features such as exposed beams and high vaulted ceilings, this lovely cottage is super welcoming and is a wonderful home from home. Cook up hearty breakfasts, prepare picnics and rustle up delicious dinners in the kitchen, before you eat together around the spacious dining table. Curl up with the dogs in the lounge in front of the inglenook fireplace and catch up on your favourite shows, or soak up some rays in the comfortable sunroom next door. When you are ready to get some sleep, head upstairs to either the double or twin bedroom. The sunroom opens onto a lovely terrace with seating and a lawn area. Let the dogs and children play on the grass as you admire the incredible coastal views over a morning coffee or evening tipple.

Go mutts along the Wales Coast Path, which passes right by the property, and soak up the unspoilt rugged coastline. Tal-y-Bont Beach (500 metres) is a wide sand and shingle beach which allows dogs to run free along the shores. The village itself is a pretty place for a stroll and has a wonderful dog-friendly pub with large garden. For those who prefer a challenge, head into the forest and mountains of Snowdonia and climb the many peaks here, including the impressive Mount Snowdon (23 miles). The grass is maintained on a weekly basis.

Beautiful cottage. Everything you could ask for and more. The cottage was spotless. Fantastic beach, with a hut called Nine and Tides for getting a hot drink on windy days or an ice cream when its hot. Local pubs were great and served excellent food. Everyone was lovely and friendly. Great walks.

Lovely cottage within a wonderful setting. The only slight disappointment was how dark the main living room was, however this did not spoil the holiday at all as there was a lovely additional room with delightful patio which was an ideal area for enjoying the sun and the sea view. I would certainly return to this cottage.

We enjoyed a lovely Christmas week in Ffermdy, which was well equipped and peaceful. Because it was winter, access to the beach was not easy, due to a storm surge barrier erected on the slipway. Its a shame that the location is slightly marred by the proximity of redundant and derelict agricultural buildings. Any minor issues we had were immediatelRead morey resolved by the owner. Thanks. We had the most wonderful time in the Farmhouse. The cottage was much bigger than I thought it would be. The views to the sea at sunset were spectacular. We were in an ideal location with just a 10 min stroll to the most beautiful beach. The cottage was very clean and had all we needed. The underfloor heating was a bonus. We had a nice stay at the Ffermdy cottage, helped by some gorgeous weather, The house is very comfortable, loved sitting and reading in the extension on sunny days. Its attached to a larger holiday home/cottage, but has its own small garden and no shared facilities. Theres a gate between the 2 gardens which might interest your dogs. Despite beingRead more situated between 2 caravan parks, it was very quiet- most days the only noise comes from the sheep in a nearby field. About 15 minutes walk to the beach through a very quiet caravan park. The beach was lovely and seemed very dog friendly, despite what wed read beforehand on the internet. We had 3 cracking meals at the 57 bar/restaurant (5 mins away) - the ribs are gorgeous. The nearby chippy was also very decent. Also had a nice meal from the Saffron Indian in Barmouth. Theres a shop about 10 mins away on a neighbouring caravan park across the road, but the Co Op in Barmouth is best for a bigger shop. Barmouth itself is very busy, certainly during the summer when we were here, but the bridge and Mawddach Trail make a nice walk. We would definitely come back. Hide

What a lovely cottage!! Everything you could possibly wish for in a cosy, homely cottage given a great seaside vibe with the tasteful decorations. The garden is very private and secluded, perfect for the dog, neighbours either side but so peaceful you don't notice them. Thank you for the milk, and the beautiful red roses in a vase. We always have fRead moreresh flowers at home so this special touch was much appreciated. We had a fabulous holiday exploring this part of Cornwall, so much to see and do without travelling very far. Be aware that this cottage is surrounded by caravans. Could do with sharing parking with the house attached to the property because if you have large car the space was tight .Cottage itself comfortable.
