A vibrant and inviting studio apartment enveloped by the lush hills of the North York Moors National Park, this rural bolthole is the perfect relaxing escape for a couple or solo traveller and an energetic doggy duo. Embark on a sandy scamper along the shores of Whitby Beach and spot the colourful beach huts, then pour a drink and soak in the picturesque moorland views while your curious canines explore the enclosed garden.

This beautifully styled property features clean lines, designer fabrics, and earthy neutral tones with splashes of emerald blue. Grab a soft, fluffy towel and dry soggy paws then step into the light-dappled kitchen with granite worktops and whip up a post-adventure feast. Pop a bottle and perch at the breakfast bar then dine in the ambient glow of the crackling wood burner. On warmer evenings, throw open the patio doors for a balmy al fresco experience. Relax on the sofa and cosy up with an evening tipple while your pups doze by your feet then retreat to the sleeping area and sink onto the plush sleigh-style bed. Playful pups can bound in the garden while you recline with a morning coffee and drink in the valley views beyond.

Step out and stroll through the quaint village of Sleights and stock up on fresh produce and local goodies from the local independent stores, within 500 metres. For a misty morning adventure, explore the gothic ruins of Whitby Abbey, 5 miles, where waggy-tailed visitors are welcome to roam the historic grounds, museum, and shop. Saunter past the charming fishermen''s cottages in legendary Robin Hood''s Bay, 8 miles, then hit the shoreline to sniff out the rock pools and fascinating fossils peppering the beach.

Had a fantastic stay at cowslip retreat. Accommodation was beautifully decorated and to a high standard and well equipped but you do need to take you own sauces, oils etc etc. The views from the patio were outstanding. The pub at the top of the road was unfortunately temporarily closed so we had a walk to the Salmon Leap pub which was a 20 minRead moreute walk, they only have short opening hours 5-10 every day. Bus stop only a 5 minute walk to take you into Whitby. Molly was extremely helpful. I messaged het a few times with questions which she answered straight away. She was there when we arrived and showed us around. Would definitely recommend . Hide

it was beautifully appointed and in an excellent location. A bit pricey, but it's also very good. I really appreciated the quality.
