This is a lovely comfortable little cottage in a perfect setting. The hot tub and the sauna were fabulous. It was very special to see (from the cottage) the steam train travelling through the valley. We loved the little village and were delighted with the Egg Hut. We ate at the local pub (the Queens Head) which was very comfortable. Will hopefully Read morebe able to stay again. Hide

We enjoyed our week; the bed was very comfortable. The hot tub was excellent. On the down side , every time we arrived and left we had to open and close a large gate. And the information given was that recycling was collected on a Monday; however I was messaged by the owner on Wednesday evening (while out for a meal) requesting that we put the genRead moreeral waste out when we returned, so it could be collected. A Wonderful Stay at Hare Cottage Truly a Home Away from Home! Hare Cottage is a true home away from home, set in a picturesque landscape of open fields and forest. We loved watching the variety of birds and wildlife that regularly visited the outdoor spaces it added such a peaceful, natural charm to our stay. The cottage was spotless and beRead moreautifully presented on arrival. The welcome basket was a delightful touch and set the tone for a comfortable and relaxing break. Jo, the owner, provided clear and helpful information before our arrival, and her support continued throughout our stay in the most discreet and considerate way. She let us know she was available if needed, but also ensured our privacy was respected. One of the real highlights was the hot tub evenings spent relaxing under the stars were an added luxury that made our stay even more special. Inside, the cottage had everything we wanted and more from a fully equipped kitchen to thoughtful touches like leaflets and guides about the local area, packed with ideas for things to see and do. The location in Leyburn is lovely, with a charming village pub, beautiful views, and excellent walking routes nearby. We brought our two dogs, who had a wonderful time exploring the secure garden even our little escape artist (Little Houdini) couldnt find a way out, which meant we could truly relax. All in all, Hare Cottage provided the perfect blend of comfort, nature, and local charm. We wouldnt hesitate to return! Hide

Beautiful cosy cottage in a rural position overlooking spectacular views. Very well maintained with everything you need for that 'escape' break. Wonderful walks around & 2 great pubs (both dog friendly) with easy walking distance. Owner on hand if any issues arise, although respect privacy when occupied. One of the nicest cottages we've visited

We didn't seem to be able to get the heating on an even keel in both bedrooms, the bedroom with the main thermostat didn't heat the second bedroom.....maybe needs a look at.
