The cottage was beautifully laid out and well equipped. The bedrooms were of very generous sizes and the shower/bath was very good with a strong water pressure and a comfortably sized tub. The kitchen was a bit dated and we didn't not use the oven during our stay, but washing up liquid was provided and there's a decent sized fridge and a separate fRead morereezer for the essentials. The weather wasn't great during our stay, but we did manage one swim in the rain thanks to the heating in the pool. The pool is beautifully surrounded by roses and lavender and smelt amazing, and also provides shelter and privacy from onlookers as you splash. The cottage also has a smart TV so we weren't short on entertainment when the poor weather prevented us from exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside. There was no welcome pack when we arrived to tell us what was what, but Sarah, our host, was exceptionally welcoming and showed us the recycling bins and resources directly. She was available whenever we had queries about the local area. We spoke to her most days and it was lovely to build a personal relationship with her as she lives nextdoor. Her presence was never intrusive, but welcome. She is supported by her diligent customer relations officer, Beryl (a dog), who politely called our on pup daily for a play date in the fields. It was lovely to see them run around together and Beryl's loving nature absolutely contributed to our dog settling well at the farm and getting comfortable in her new surroundings. The farm is a working livery for competing horses and in order to access the fields for secure doggy play, you must walk past the stables. Be mindful of this and keep dogs under close control if they are unfamiliar with horses to ensure safety for all animals. The staff at the livery are incredibly friendly and chatty. We were shown around, introduced to all the horses and were made to feel very welcome during our stay. Hide

Very comfortable cottage in quiet location but near to the village green, so easy to walk to the local pub. A swimming pool! It was a sunny day for us on Friday so we had a good dip in the pool and then sat in the sunshine to dry.
