We had the best time at Glenisla Terrace. The house is very comfortable and well equipped. It is perfectly located for beautiful Sidmouth, located just off the promenade in a quiet spot. The playground opposite the house is excellent and my young children enjoyed it all week. I would strongly recommend this property to all.

Lovely cottage in an amazing location! Everything we needed for the week was inside. No parking, but helpful tips from the owner before arrival were great. Parking permit for the week (available online from the council) was perfect. Would definitely recommend and will probably return!

A great place to stay - that's why we keep returning. The location couldn't be better as it's so close to the esplanade and if you don't want to swim in the sea there is a pool next door ! Shops are within easy reach with a Morrisons and Tesco a few minutes walk away. The property itself is on 3 levels and is very spacious and has everything onRead moree needs for a very pleasant stay. We will certainly be booking the place again for next year. Hide

Excellent property with a good location near the sea, shops, and pubs. Enjoyed all the facilities that were on offer, including the outdoor dining in the yard at the back, a proper sun trap.

Returned once again this September to Genisla Terrace, the perfect holiday base, as it is so close to both the sea and all local amenities. Simply and comfortably furnished, it was as always spotlessly clean. Next year's holiday is already booked!

Very good cottage for its price point, we had a slight issue with the shower that was sorted the next day, these things happen, what is import and and a credit to the property was the speed with which it was rectified. I have now stayed at this property 3 times over the last few years and will more than likely do so again in the future

Weve stayed at Glenisla twice now as the location is perfect. Its quiet but right next to The Ham, dog friendly end of the beach and start of the Esplanade. Time it right and you can even see the red arrows fly past the bedroom window. This is a super cottage in an ideal location. The beach is close as are all the shops and restaurants. Our grandchildren particularly enjoyed the park which is right in front of the property with no road in between.

A spacious, comfortable house in an excellent quiet location, moments away from the seafront, and only a few minutes walk away from the shops. Upstairs there are views of the sea from the front bedrooms, a lovely bathroom, and comfortable beds. Downstairs the kitchen, lounge and dining area are all a good size and there is a well designed paved baRead moreck yard. We spent a very enjoyable week staying at the house whilst touring the area. My only concern was the parking situation. I would definitely recommend purchasing a weekly parking permit from East Devon council as there is very little on street parking in the area. Although there is a carpark near the house it is a short term carpark, and the long term carpark is a brisk 15 minute walk away. Hide

This house could not be bettered for being quiet, yet very close to both the sea and the shops and amenities of the High Street. Having vanity units in each bedroom and 2 toilets make it ideal for a mixed party as well as for a family group. This was my 25th booking for this house, and I am already looking forward to next year's visit.

We wife, myself, and our 8 year old cockapoo recently returned from a lovely week at Glenislea. The location is fantastic: 50m to a park, where people were having picnics and barbecues (and perfect for that early morning or late evening walk with the dog). The park includes a securely fenced play area - ideal if you have children. 100m to the seafrRead moreont promenade, just by the lifeboat station, and also 100m to the local independent shops, pubs, and cafes. Sidmouth has the added bonus that it is still bustling, even out of season. The house is is secluded, and set back, but still has views of the park, play area, and sea views. It is spacious, with a large lounge and diner on the ground floor, together with a kitchen and downstairs WC. The first floor has a large double bedroom at the front, a separate twin room, shower room, and separate WC. Whilst the 2nd floor has another double bedroom. There is a small private, and tidy courtyard to the rear. The beds are very comfortable! As each day went by, we became more and more relaxed, and it was great to dump the cars at the end of each day, in the local car park (20m away), and dine out in one of the many nearby pubs and restaurants. Most of the pubs, cafes, and shops in Sidmouth are dog friendly too, which was a bonus for us. I do recommend purchasing an e-permit for parking in the local car parks (25 for 7 days), which is also valid in all East Devon council car parks, so handy if venturing further afield. We would happily recommend Glenislea to friends and family, if they were considering a break in this lovely part of East Devon. Hide
