Swap the hustle and bustle for this gorgeous property set in the pretty village location of Beer. This delightful coastal cottage sleeps six humans and three beloved doggos, ideal for walks on the shore, cosy evenings by the wood burner and enjoying hearty pub lunches.

Scamper inside and dust down sandy paws in the entrance hall before settling down in the cosy open-plan living/dining room, complete with comfy sofas, wooden floors and a bay window bringing in oodles of light. Let sleeping dogs lie by the wood burner before serving up a family feast at the oak dining table. Throw open the doors to the patio from the well-equipped kitchen and enjoy a coffee or glass of bubbles on the suntrap outdoor space. After long days in the great outdoors, climb the stairs to reach three light and airy bedrooms: one double, one twin with a Smart TV, and a king-size with a TV. In the morning, take your caffeine out to the garden, where the pooch can play, and the humans can plan exciting routes for the day.

Plenty of coastal walks are at the end of a lead with the South West Coast Path. Access a plethora of routes via the gateway town of Seaton, a colourful seaside resort which boasts of its position at the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. Explore dramatic, craggy cliff-top views over vast seas or let the pooches frolic in the waves of Beer Beach - a shingle shoreline which is less than half a mile away from the cottage. No stay would be complete without sampling Devon’s cream tea, so be sure to visit one of the many dog-friendly cafes for a scone, cream then jam (in that order!).

A very comfortable period cottage in a quiet location yet a pleasant five minute walk to the beach. The enclosed courtyard was great for al fresco breakfasts and the dining area inside was spacious and comfortable.

A beautiful, comfortable, well-equipped cottage. It is roomier than the exterior would suggest. We also enjoyed the convenience of the extra, downstairs bathroom that made mornings easier. The welcome tray was a lovely, generous surprise. We would definitely be happy to recommend Causeway Cottage.
