For a tail-waggingly good trip with the Lake District National Park as your playground, stay at this beautiful, elevated property on the edge of Arndale. Sleeping eight humans and three doggies, it’s got plenty of room for a large group of family or friends. From the balcony and landscaped garden, you can lap up fantastic views over the estuary and fells, then spend satisfying days out in the wilderness with your pets. You’ll be within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and surrounded by nature reserves, so prepare to be wowed by the picture-postcard rural vistas.
This light-filled holiday home is laid out over two floors, with an open-plan living area and two of the three bedrooms on the ground floor. There’s a lovely lounge space with gorgeous views and sliding doors leading out to the decked area. One of the master rooms has two single beds – making it ideal for small families – as well as dual-aspect windows also offering lovely views. In the garden, there is plenty of room for four-legged guests to laze in the fresh air while you lap up the scenery in the plant-filled garden.
You’ll be 1 mile from the pretty resort of Arndale, which is separated from the national park by the River Kent estuary. To access the national park, you can either cross the viaduct by train or drive around the estuary. From your front door, you can also access Arnside Knott (1 mile) as well as the coast, where you can absorb superb views out to Morecambe Bay estuary and the Lakeland fells. The beach here welcomes dogs all year round.
