Perfect for a seaside escape with two doggies, this welcoming Beadnell home sleeps ten guests – lovely for a group trip with friends and/or family. It’s 400 metres from both the dog-friendly Beadnell Bay and the heart of the village, which has a post office, a general store and two friendly pubs for a well-earned pint after a day on the sand. The area is much-loved with water sports enthusiasts, while the coastal path makes for scenic dog walks to local spots like pretty Bamburgh (5 miles).
Inside, the house has been thoughtfully renovated to give you and your pets plenty of room to spread out, relax and spend time together in comfort. There’s an open-plan living space with two inviting lounges – one bright and spacious with sofas facing the garden, and another snug with a wood burner where weary pups can warm their fur. A large dining table makes group meals easy, and the kitchen is filled with modern appliances. On the ground floor is a super-king-size bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, along with a shared shower room. Head upstairs to find a bunk room with a double and single bed, along with two king-size bedrooms. A further bedroom has a pull-out day bed for two singles, and its own balcony. These share a shower room. Outside, there’s ample space for energetic doggies in the enclosed garden, which has a lawn, a good-sized patio and dining furniture for summer evenings. There’s also plenty of private parking.
When it’s time to explore further, head to nearby Seahouses (1.5 miles), known for its stunning beaches, dunes and walking trails. If history is more your thing, Bamburgh Castle (5 miles) welcomes well-behaved dogs on leads on the grounds, as does Alnwick Castle, known to many from the Harry Potter films (14 miles).
