Whisk away your beloved furry companions and a small group of friends or family to a quaint seaside village in the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Spend your time splashing in the sea, exploring the cliff-top walking routes and discovering spectacular castles. Rest up in this homely and comfortable three-bed cottage with an open fire and an enclosed garden.
Step inside and find yourself in the sizable living room where you can relax on the sofas in front of the glowing open fire and a film on the Smart TV. Continue into the neutral-toned kitchen with glossy, marble-effect surface tops and a dining table and chairs. Also on the ground floor is a family bathroom, a separate WC and a rear porch. Upstairs are the three bedrooms – two king-size and a twin room. In the enclosed garden is a grassy area, decking, seating and a trampoline.
During your time away in Beadnell, start your day with a wander to the harbour or to the sandy Beadnell Bay (1 mile) – which is dog-welcoming all year round and is ideal for water sports. If you want a night off from cooking, the village centre has a pub which welcomes four-legged friends, or the nearby village of Seahouse (2 miles) has a wider selection of eateries. Further afield is the imposing Anglo-Saxon Bamburgh Castle (2.5 miles) and the ruins of the 14th-century Dunstanburgh Castle (8.5 miles), both of which make for an excellent day out. For an adventure, hop on a boat from Seahouses for a trip around the National Trust Farne Islands.
