One of Beadnell’s oldest dwellings, this charming cottage has a secure, suntrap garden where dogs and children can play safely, plus a shop, pub and beach all within 400m. Three ground-floor bedrooms make this a great choice for a break with friends or family, and a trio of pets can join in the fun too.
Beamed ceilings and exposed stonework hint at the history of this single-storey holiday home, complementing the colourful furnishings of its striking living room where a wood burner ensures paws and toes are always warm. The striking kitchen/diner has plenty of space for the pups to stay close, and a handy utility room takes care of any laundry requirements. When it’s time to retire, choose from three bedrooms – one has a king-size bed that can be made up, on request, as twins, and there’s also a double and a twin bedroom. A bathroom and separate shower room bring added flexibility and convenience to your group getaway. The outdoor space here is really special: the cottage has a large south-facing lawned garden with secure boundaries, along with a sheltered patio area – ideal for playful pups.
It''s less than 400m to Beadnell Bay which has a pretty harbour at its northern end and a horseshoe-shaped beach, backed by huge dunes of sand, stretching south for miles. Enjoy long walks along the beautiful coastline – Low Newton 4 miles south is almost completely owned by the National Trust and has an open-ended square of cream-washed cottages looking out onto a glorious sandy beach. 3 miles north of Beadnell, Seahouses is the embarkation point for pet-friendly boat trips to the wildlife-rich Farne Islands. Another 3 miles on is Bamburgh, home to a stunning Grade I-listed castle – dogs are welcome within the grounds.
