Bring your four-pawed friends and enjoy beaches, castles and spectacular coastal walks – this welcoming and comfortable apartment is a great base for families or small groups to explore Northumberland’s Heritage Coast.
Open-plan living makes this a very sociable and easy-going property, perfect for relaxing with loved ones and getting into the holiday spirit. The stylish kitchen has lots of space for preparing picnics, snacks and meals, with the dining table set conveniently next to it. After supper, head to the comfortable leather seating in the lounge area, which has a Smart TV in case you want to stream a favourite TV show, and relax with your canine companions snoozing by your feet. The bedrooms are decorated in soft colours for a calming feel and all have TVs. There are two doubles, one with an en-suite bathroom, and a single, plus a pretty family bathroom with a shower over the bath. In terms of outside space, you and your mutts are welcome to explore the shared grounds outside the apartment, which lead down to the sea.
The hamlet of Waren Mill is part of the Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve and looks out over Budle Bay, an important bird sanctuary. The beach has golden sands and safe, shallow waters, perfect for kite surfing and other water sports. The coastal scenery here is unsurpassed – it’s said that the 2.5 mile walk to Bamburgh is one of the most spectacular in the UK, and once you reach the village you’ll enjoy exploring its majestic Norman castle, with dogs allowed in the grounds on a lead. In Seahouses, 6 miles, there are shops and places to eat and drink, and you can book a boat trip (April to October) to the Farne Islands, and spot puffins, seals and other wildlife.
